I keep getting this damn error whenever I try to attach MHS to Combat Arms. I use Windows Vista 32-bit SP1. I tried running the program in administrator mode and set the compatibility to Windows XP SP2. I even tried disabling the UAC, yet to no avail. Any solutions?

its called nProtect. Try using the AAC settings and opening up in restricted mode.

Umm, tried that. It successfully attached, but I always receive the "No results found" error when scanning. By the way, I don't think Combat Arms uses nProtect. It uses Hack Shield.

aka nProtect or GameGuard. When you are not using the AAC settings, you will just be attaching MHS to itself. BUT beware... the AAC settings have been known to BSOD many computers.

Roll back to Windows® Vista®. Kernel read/write of memory does not work on Windows® Vista® SP1.

Wrong. HackShieldPro and nProtect is totally different.
nProtect belongs to INCA Internet while HackShieldPro belongs to whoever it is.

Problem is, I got this computer recently and it automatically contained SP1. I think the problem is because of hack shield. I'm able to successfully attach to any process besides Engine.exe (Combat Arms). The only time when I did manage to hook it to the game was before the Hack Shield logo appeared in the center of my screen. Even so, whenever I scanned I always ended up with no results.

HackShield is only a factor because the kernel ReadProcessMemory() and WriteProcessMemory() function do not yet work on Windows® Vista® SP1.

Without the kernel routines, HackShield can detect and block the regular functions MHS uses Hence anything you do that required reading of RAM will not work, especially searches.

I noticed that you recently updated your software, and it says MHS is now compatible with Vista SP1. I shall try it out later today.

Come on…
There is obviously an anti-cheat loaded with your game that prevents you from attaching to it.
Disable or bypass the anti-cheat.
